Do we still call it that? The “Front Page”? Anyways, some fellas from England are basically building brand new MG roadsters with Mazda engines and transmissions. They are absolutely the nuts, like Singer 911s.

dont know why, but i feel like a 350k singer porsche is a better value than a 120k mg with a mazda engine.

The two are very much the same thing for two very different types of people.
Certainly a Singer-built Porsche is an exceptional vehicle, but if you don’t want an air-cooled, rear-engined sports car it’s of no value to you at all.
These MGs are both rebuilt and new cars built from the original tooling and they’re intended for people who want the character and look of the classic British roadster without the mechanical issues.
If I had a swimming pool full of money to spend, it wouldn’t be any easy choice. But I would likely go for the awkward little MG LE50:
